Merry Christmas 2009

We had an amazing Christmas this year! Jason and I finally woke Claire up around 8:00 because we were so excited. She loved opening her presents and seeing her gifts that Santa brought. He brought her a drawing table and a trampoline. I didn't think she was going to stop jumping long enough to open her other presents but she got into the unwrapping and would take breaks to jump on the trampoline some more. After she was finished with her presents, she helped Grey open his. What a sweet big sister!

We took so many pictures this year that I made a slide show of my favorites.

After presents and breakfast we headed to Jackson to see Jason's dad. She was in for a big surprise!

At Papaw Mike's we opened presents and then headed outside for Claire and Landon's big surprise!

Claire loves her Jeep and wants to go outside and ride it all the time. We had a hard time getting her to come in to get ready to hit the road to Leakesville.

After Papaw Mike's we loaded up and headed to Leakesville to spend the weekend with Jason's mom, stepdad, and lots of cousins. Claire had so much fun hanging out with all the kids and they stayed outside pretty much all weekend. Grey just did what he does best... hang out and be his sweet little self.

After a fun weekend, we are back in Oxford and enjoying being back at home. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Where does the time go?

I can't believe Grey is two months old. Time is going by so fast! We went to the doctor for Grey's checkup and shots. He did so good and is growing up so fast!

He weighs 10 pounds 13 ounces (30%) and is 23 inches long (50%).

We went to Water Valley after his shots to see everyone at the school. I haven't been back since Grey was born so it was fun to see my sweet students and co-workers. My students were so excited to meet Grey! As hard as it will be to leave him, I am excited to go back to work after the holidays.

My sweet mom is retiring at the end of the month and has sold her house so she will be moving to Oxford to keep Grey when I go back to work. I am SUPER excited that she will be here to keep him and will make going back to work easier.

Christmas Parade

Claire rode on a float this year for the Christmas parade and had a blast waving to everyone.
Our great friend, Pam, works at the Chamber and asked Claire to ride on the float this year. Jason was going to ride with her but when it was time for the parade to start she wanted momma to ride. So Claire and I rode in the Christmas Parade and Grey and Dadddy waited for us at the end of the parade route on campus.

Claire loved telling everyone Merry Christmas and Shop Oxford!

Sip n See

My amazing Oxford friends threw Grey a Sip n See yesterday afternoon. Everyone brought Grey an ornament for his first Christmas. It was a perfect afternoon and so great to see everyone.

I carpool with these two amazing girls to Water Valley everyday for work. They are the greatest friends and I have missed them so much while I have been on maternity leave. I can't wait to see them everyday again when I go back to work in January.

Last Weekend, Jason and I headed to Starkville for the Egg Bowl. It was such a great day since I got to see two of my favorite and best friends from State.
