Happy Birthday Jason!

Claire loves her daddy so much!
She plays so hard with him and thinks everything he does is funny.

We relaxed tonight for Jason's birthday. We grilled out and I made him a cake.
That's right! I cooked! I made Jason's favorite, Red Velvet Cake, and it even turned out really good.
Happy Birthday to a wonderful husband and an incredible daddy!!

Claire started "school" this week so Icould get my classroom ready. We report for our first official day TOMORROW! Where did the summer go?
Claire LOVES going to Happy House and they do so many fun activities. They had swim day yesterday which was by far her favorite. We are so lucky to have gotten in this amazing place.

Thanks to Manze for her old KEDS. Claire wears them everyday!!

Congratulations Jenny and Webb!

We had so much fun this weekend in Kosciusko.
The wedding was beautiful and after 12 years of dating, Jenny and Webb are finally husband and wife. The theme for the weekend was it's about time and we couldn't be happier for the two of them because it was the right time for the both of them!

It was so good to see sweet college friends!

The beautiful bride after lots of fun and dancing.
We were a little hot!

One More Month and I'm ONE Year Old

I cannot believe she is going to a year next month! We have had the best year with her and it has gone by so fast!
She is running around everywhere and loves to dance to the music on the Disney Channel. She also LOVES to play chase with her daddy!

Claire is a slow teether. She has two teeth on the bottom and two on the top with another one coming in very slowly. Teething is no fun at all. Everything goes in the mouth!

I took Claire to the school today so I could try to get organized and ready for my little kindergarten class in a couple of weeks. She was great and had so much fun that she fell fast asleep on the carpet. Whatever I organized, she then unorganized. I did get my room situated by moving my tables around and have unpacked almost every box. I can't believe it is that time again to get ready for school!

My very sweet friend and roommate for two years is getting married this weekend and we had a shower for her last weekend.
Jenny is responsible for Jason and I meeting. She set us up on a blind date which neither one of us really wanted to go on.
We are so thankful for Jenny and are so glad she is in our life.
We are so excited for her and Webb and can't wait for the fun weekend to come in Kosciusko.

We are all settled into our new home in Oxford and are enjoying it a lot. I met so many nice people today at Walmart.
A man that was parked next to us took my buggy for me and was so patient while I was getting Claire strapped in. I am already loving this town.

Martha and Erik's Wedding

We had a great time at the wedding and reception. It was a beautiful wedding and the reception was hot but a lot of fun.
I didn't get any pictures of the happy couple since I was chasing this pretty little girl around. She loved the grass and playing outside at the Cedars.

I took this picture on our way to Oxford. We left at 5:00 am on Tuesday morning and the sky was beautiful.
We are pretty much settled in and are working on hanging up pictures and fun things like that. All the boxes are unpacked so that is a huge success.
Now I just have to get my classroom in order and ready for those little Kindergarteners. That's right, school starts in THREE weeks!!

Off we go to...

We are off to Oxford tomorrow. We are all packed up at the house and the movers are coming in the morning to load the truck. Claire is staying with my mom for the week so we can get things settled at the new house.
I know I will be in a hurry to get unpacked and settled so I can be back with her.

Claire is changing everyday. We laugh and smile at her constanly over the new things she is doing. Her new favorite thing is grits. She eats them every morning and loves them so much.

I can't believe the summer is almost over. I go back to teaching in less than three weeks!! Where has the time gone?
Also,
Congratulations to my sweet friends Martha and Erik who got married yesterday. The wedding was beautiful and I was so honored to be a part of their special day.
I did take some fun pictures but my camera cord hookup for the computer is packed away so I will post them when we are all unpacked in Oxford.

Claire loves her chair

My mom got Claire this really cute chair for Christmas.
She was a little too small for it then but now she crawls up in it all by herself and then gets down when she is ready. She is so funny.

Girls Night

I know many have heard me talk about my amazing teacher friends from Oakdale. There really is no other school like it!
The girls have tried to get together once a week this summer and last night just happened to be my last dinner night with them since we are moving next week. I love these girls so much and I will miss them so much!
I am so excited about moving and teaching in Oxford and I pray that I find a great group of girls like these.

Off to see a Plastic Surgeon

I was working on some monogram stuff last night when my finger got caught under the machine and one of the neddles broke off.
I was going to move the other thread out of the way from my design. The machine always starts sewing on the back of the design first but not this time. Instead, as I was going to move the hanging thread the machine starting sewing in the front catching my finger.
This is the end result.
I spent 3 hours yesterday afternoon at a clinic to get nothing accomplished to help my finger.
The doctor wasn't the brightest and kept asking me if he was close and in the right area. How should I know? He was the one looking at the x-ray and digging around in my finger. It was very frustrating!!
Since nothing got accomplished yesterday afternoon, (I feel like I should get a reimbursement on my doctor bill) I am off to see a plastic surgeon.
UPDATE: All is good and the needle is out. Back to monograming I go!
