Happy Birthday Jason

My sweet husband turns 33 today! He has come along way since this baby picture was taken. How cute was he!! (and still is)
There are so many reasons why I like to celebrate his birthday eventhough he says it is just another year. He is such a special person and deserves his day to be the same. Jason is an incredible friend, husband and I know he is going to be an incredible dad!
Happy Birthday to you with all my love!

Claire is going to be a strong little girl! Jason and I were looking at her sonogram pictures from yesterday and we noticed her flexing for us in her photo. I think she may be athletic when she grows up!

Prayer Request

One of my very best friends from college had a procedure done on an artery in her brain today. Sara Beth has been having mini strokes for a couple of months now due to blockage in the artery. The doctors tried to fix the problem with medication but nothing seemed to work. Today, they ballooned the artery to try to fix the problem and all went well. The doctors were very pleased with the procedure. Sara Beth will be in ICU until tomorrow and then they will see how everything goes. Please keep SB and her family in your prayers. She has been very upbeat and has a great attitude about everything! We love you Sara Beth!

Date Night

Thomas took Catherine, my mom, and I to dinner tonight at one of my favorite restaurants, Newks. We had a blast and Thomas was a great date. He is such a precious little boy and I had so much fun hanging out with him. Isn't he just the cutest!

While eating at Newks, we ran into some good friends, The Segrest Family. Mary Katherine is such a cute pregnant girl, and Camp, well, there are just no words to explain how cute he is. Camp and Thomas are going to be heart breakers when they get older!

Tomorrow we are off to the beach for some rest and relaxation. I love living so close to paradise!! Jason actually has to work but I am tagging along to relax! When we get back, it is off to Jackson for a week! I cannot wait to see everyone and catch up before I am back in Mobile and settled at the house for awhile.

Now Taking Orders

Just Kidding! But, I have found a new hobby... Monogramming. After watching my mom and having her show me how to create designs, I did a little creating of my own. The last time I was in Jackson, my mom went through her "store" and gave me a ton of outfits. Claire now has more clothes that Jason and I combined! I did do all the monogramming by myself and I was pretty proud of how they turned out. My mom and I have decided that we need to go into the business together. If only I still lived in Jackson. Posted are a few of my favorite creations. I cannot wait to shop again at Betty Jane's! Next on the list... appliques.

When I posted pictures of the nursery I totally forgot my favorite part. My mom did a great job with the curtains and made the board up top. They look so great! It is funny how they look too different shades of pink when they are open and closed.

Our Sweet Girls

Posted by Picasa

I got photoshop a while back and am starting to get the hang of it, so I decided to play on it tonight and make something with our sweet girls on it. We got Sadie after Hurricane Katrina at the Animal Rescue League. She was only 9 weeks old and we immediately fell in love with her. She was so easy to train and such a fun dog to have around. After we moved to Mobile last year, we decided that Sadie needed a friend since she stays outside by herself while Jason and I are at work. We went to the Animal Rescue League in Mobile and found Maggie. She was a little over 2 and the sweetest thing. Her owners didn't want her anymore so she was ours. They are the sweetest dogs and just want lovin all the time, expecially Maggie. (I think she was abused) They have been a little confused about the rearranging of the house for Claire. We set up a pack n' play in our room where their bed used to be and they didn't know what to think about it. Maggie couldn't sleep for the first night until she got used to her new corner. It is taking some time but they are adjusting. I want them to be used to all the changes before she gets here. Jason is definitely outnumbered with all the girls in the house!

Claire's Nursery

My mom brought me back to Mobile on Tuesday after our trip to California and we brought the crib and other fun nursery stuff back with us. Here are some pictures of her nursery so far. It looks so cute and is pretty much finished. I still have letters to hang above the crib that spell out her name and other little things. I think it looks so cute. Maggie, one of our black labs, loves to lay next to the crib. I think she is going to be pretty protective of her.

Palm Springs, California

After twelve hours and delay after delay after delay, we finally made it back to Mississippi last night around midnight. Wow! It was so good to be back! Palm Springs was amazing. My mom and I went for KD Convention and had a blast hanging out together. I did have to go to some of the meetings since I was the voting delegate for Mobile, but I also had free time to hang out by the pool and relax. I didn't however make it to the spa, but my time was still filled with fun and relaxation. I didn't take a lot of pictures... not real sure why, but here are some highlights from our trip!

My KD little sis, Emily, is now on CAB at State so it was so great to see her and hang out!

My mom is the CAB chair for Millsaps and they received a Merit Chapter Award. They were so cute and so excited!

Now to the fun part!! The reason I went with my mom to convention was because she was receiving the Order of the Emerald. This award goes to outstanding Alumnae, and about 10 people received it this year. I have known that she was getting this award since March and did a GREAT job at keeping it a secret from her. This was a hard task for me since my mom and I talk about everything. I was so excited for her and she had NO IDEA!!

I am so proud of my mom! She is truly an incredible person!!!
