Palm Springs, California

After twelve hours and delay after delay after delay, we finally made it back to Mississippi last night around midnight. Wow! It was so good to be back! Palm Springs was amazing. My mom and I went for KD Convention and had a blast hanging out together. I did have to go to some of the meetings since I was the voting delegate for Mobile, but I also had free time to hang out by the pool and relax. I didn't however make it to the spa, but my time was still filled with fun and relaxation. I didn't take a lot of pictures... not real sure why, but here are some highlights from our trip!

 

My KD little sis, Emily, is now on CAB at State so it was so great to see her and hang out!

 

My mom is the CAB chair for Millsaps and they received a Merit Chapter Award. They were so cute and so excited!

 

Now to the fun part!! The reason I went with my mom to convention was because she was receiving the Order of the Emerald. This award goes to outstanding Alumnae, and about 10 people received it this year. I have known that she was getting this award since March and did a GREAT job at keeping it a secret from her. This was a hard task for me since my mom and I talk about everything. I was so excited for her and she had NO IDEA!!

 

I am so proud of my mom! She is truly an incredible person!!!
