SPRING BREAK!!

I am so excited that Spring Break is finally here. I am in need of some R&R. My students finished their really big test last week. My first graders took the ITBS. It is a lot like the MCT and we tested all week long. I am sure that some of you are wondering why little first grade students are taking such a long and strenuous test... I am still asking that question. My kids did so good despite being emotional drained. It is hard for six and seven year olds to sit still and be quiet for two hours every day and concentrate on a test without being able to ask any questions. I was so proud of them for their hard work! We had our big Easter Egg Hunt and party at school after testing on Friday to celebrate. They were precious!! They made bunny ears and I painted their noses pink and gave them wiskers as they went to look for their Easter Eggs. Our coach got some fifth graders to hide the eggs so they did a very good job of hiding them. I took some pictures but never uplaoded them onto the computer at school so I will have to post them later. Only 30 more school days left in the school year!!

I am leaving for Jackson in a couple of hours. Hopefully, this bad storm that has hit Mobile will clear out by then. I cannot wait to have a week to chill with my mom and visit with friends. When I come to visit for the weekends it is always too rushed and I never get to see all the friends that I want to. Wednesday will be extra nice as I have a facial and massage appointment at Aqua Day Spa. I finally get to use my gift cards that I have had for almost a year. They are about to expire! What a nice treat!!

We find out if we are having a boy or girl the Monday after Easter and we are super excited. I still feel great and my doctor appointments have been going great. I have only gained 2 pounds since we found out I was preganant. I feel like I have gained a ton but I am going by the scales:) Please pray for our dear friends Maury and Kelly. Kelly went in for a sonogram at 12 weeks and they couldn't hear the heartbeat. After some test, the discovered that she lost the baby. After talking with her today, she is in good spirits and is feeling a lot better after a couple of days of a lot of pain! Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
