Tribute to Samson

I got Samson my Junior Year in college when he was 9 weeks old. This is a picture of when we first got him with his dad... boy was he big! Sam was the runt in the litter and we instantly fell in love with him. He had the prettiest coloring and he was the least hyper in the bunch.
Sam was a very good dog and was pretty easy to train. I grew very attached!

Sam would always go to the State games with us and wear his Mississippi State Jersey. He loved all the people who walked by and was the main attraction for photo shoots before the games. He was great to be around!
Well after college, Sam went to live with my mom. He was great! He really took care of her and would carry on converstations with her when she was home. It made me feel good to know that she had someone there with her. (especially when we moved to Mobile)

Now the sad news: Sam passed away a few days ago. He went to the vet to have surgery on his torn ACL. We later found out that it was torn all the way through and he had been in a lot of pain and could hardly walk without some medication. The surgery went great and the vet even went to check on him that night at 11:00. He was sleeping good and even got up and went outside for a little bit. When they came back the next morning to check on him, he was not breathing. This has been a very sad time in the Cadle House. Sam was like my mom's other child. He was great to her and was always there for her. I went home last weekend and it was great to hang out with him. I didn't take my two labs since Jason stayed in Mobile, so we had a lot of fun hanging out. Sam has so much personailty!!! When my mom and I would talk on the phone he would really join in on the conversations.

I have been looking through pictures of Sam and found these. They are so great and I had to post them . So many of my friends knew how special he really was. I will miss Sam so much and know that there will never be a dog like him.
